STC Puget Sound Chapter
2011 Annual Technical Communication Competition

The 2011 Annual Technical Communication Competition covers the following categories: Informational Materials, Instructional Materials, Promotional Materials, and User Support Materials competitions. Each category contains subcategories that further define the intention of the materials. A single entry can be entered in only one category. You will need to note the category and subcategory on the competition entry form, which is available on the chapter website. For more information about categorization and for a copy of the entry form, go to the Puget Sound Chapter STC website (www.stc-psc.org/competition.php

The STC Puget Sound Technical Communication Competition is open to all technical communication professionals; you do not have to be an STC member to participate. Note, though, that different entry fees apply for member and non-members. At least one contributor submitted on the website entry form needs to be a member for the member entry fee to apply. The contributor who submits the entry and one additional contributor are included in the base fee. Each additional contributor beyond the two included the base fee needs to pay the Additional Contributors Fee. Contributors listed at the time of submission will be eligible for any certificate awarded as the result of the competition. Please check the spelling of contributors before submitting your competition information to ensure proper acknowledgement.

After paying the appropriate entry fees, you will need to submit the competition entry form to kristh@comcast.net and ensure that the following additional conditions are met:

  • If your entry is a website, you will just need to provide the URL on the entry form. The entry will be judged as it exists on the day of judging.
  • If your entry is a published work or available only on CD, DVD, or jump drive, it must be delivered to one of the locations noted on the Puget Sound Chapter STC website.

The Puget Sound STC Chapter is accepting entries until Friday, October 14, 2011 5 p.m.
